One of the most popular ways to let someone know that you care about them, or that you are thinking about them is to send flower deliveries. You can do this more easily than ever thanks to the Internet. You can also use FTD if you don’t have access to the Internet when you want to send out flowers, and you can get them delivered almost anywhere in the world. You can get more than flowers delivered as well. There are food, fruit, and gift baskets that most flower companies have now that you can send to anyone you wish. Flower deliveries can be tricky, and I know this because I have had bad luck in receiving, sending and even delivering flowers myself.
When I was in college I worked for a flower shop for a grand total of four weeks. I wasn’t supposed to be doing flower deliveries, but I did a few of them when no one else was around to do it. I found that no matter how well someone seems to think they know where someone will be; they are rarely there when the flowers arrive. Even those with jobs in offices can be hard to find, and though you might think these would be easy flower deliveries to make, you might find that you are mistaken. One of the funniest things I learned in my short stint in flower deliveries is how much expendable income some people seem to have.
I don’t mean the people who send flowers to loved ones; I’m talking about those who send them religiously to those they do not know. There was one woman who had a standing order in with our flower shop. Each time the local NHL hockey team had a home game she had flower deliveries set to go out to one of the stars of the team. She didn’t know him personally, but she sure wished she did. No matter what your reasons are for having flower deliveries sent out, make sure you follow up on the order. I once paid for a delivery only to find out that they had never sent the flowers, and they were more than happy to keep my money. They ended up giving me a refund with the excuse that the order was stuck in their computer (whatever!), but if I had not checked to make sure they were delivered, I may have never know. If you are ordering flower deliveries for someone who may not right away be able to acknowledge that they got the flowers right away, make sure you call and check up. .
